Game 1 - All Offense In Loggers Loss Against Parkland College Cobras

Bats were blistered on Saturday, but the Loggers couldn't quite get the job done against Parkland College and lost 13-9. Parkland College collected 14 hits, while the Loggers had 14. Parkland College rallied for the victory despite trailing 6-2 in the second. A double by Michael Carrano Jr put Parkland College on the board in the top of the first.
The Loggers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to left field by Brooks Neuhoff that drove in two.
The Loggers added one run in the third. Seth Winkler singled down the left field line, making the score 7-5. Parkland College jumped into the lead in the top of the sixth when Jax Hisle singled, scoring two runs, and Mark Mennecke grounded out, scoring one run.
Andrew Hendrickson homered to right field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the Loggers. Parkland College scored two runs in the top of the eighth on a home run to right field by John Shuey.
Lane Lorton earned the win for Parkland College. The hurler surrendered five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Bryce Buhs took the loss for the Loggers. The hurler went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering five runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking one. Mark Wolak started on the bump for the Loggers. The pitcher surrendered six hits and six runs (four earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. Gavin Parkerson stepped on the bump first for Parkland College. The righty gave up nine hits and seven runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking three.
The Loggers collected 14 hits in the game. Andrew Hendrickson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Loggers with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Seth Winkler led the Loggers with three hits in five at bats. Payten Mugele, Kaeden Bowles, and Brooks Neuhoff each collected multiple hits for the Loggers. The Loggers stole three bases in the game.
Parkland College amassed 14 hits in the game. Alex Schimmel, the number seven hitter for Parkland College, led the way with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-4 on the day. Jax Hisle went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead Parkland College in hits. Jayden Patel, John Shuey, Michael Carrano Jr, Dawson Magrini, and Mark Mennecke each collected multiple hits for Parkland College. Jax Hisle stole two bases. Parkland College didn't commit a single error in the field. Matt Carrano had the most chances in the field with 11.

Game 2 - Big Seventh Inning Leads Parkland College Cobras Past Loggers

Parkland College defeated the Loggers 25-4 on Saturday thanks in part to 13 runs in the seventh inning. The Loggers were the first to get on the board in the first when Braylan Smith singled, scoring two runs.
Parkland College took the lead, 6-2, in the top of the second thanks to home runs by Lincoln Cardwell, and Jax Hisle. Parkland College added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when John Shuey singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Alex Schimmel tripled, scoring two runs.
Parkland College scored 13 runs on 10 hits in the top of the seventh inning. Jax Hisle tripled, scoring two runs, Will Applegate singled, scoring one run, Ryan Kondrad doubled, scoring two runs, Lincoln Cardwell hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Dawson Magrini singled, scoring one run, Alex Schimmel singled, scoring one run, Mateo Casillas singled, scoring two runs, Will Applegate doubled, scoring one run, and Michael Carrano Jr singled, scoring two runs.
Cody DelFavero earned the win for Parkland College. The left-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Seth Impson took the loss for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, giving up 12 runs (nine earned) on 10 hits, striking out two and walking three.
Braylan Smith drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Loggers with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Ethan Hurst and Braylan Smith each collected two hits for the Loggers. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.
Parkland College amassed 20 hits in the game. Alex Schimmel set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Parkland College Cobras with four hits in six at bats. Jax Hisle led Parkland College with five runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Michael Carrano Jr, Dawson Magrini, and Will Applegate each collected multiple hits for Parkland College. Parkland College had patience at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Jax Hisle, Michael Carrano Jr, Dawson Magrini, and Nick Guidici led the team with two free passes each. Parkland College were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Michael Carrano Jr made the most plays with eight.
Loggers will travel to Parkland College Cobras for their next game on Sunday.
