Game 1 - Lincoln Land Loggers Defeated By Lake Sumter

Lincoln Land Loggers fell to Lake Sumter 6-1 on Monday at Leesburg, FL. Lake Sumter opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run. Lake Sumter added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when M Miller doubled, scoring three runs, and K Duquette singled, scoring one run.
S Ellis earned the win for Lake Sumter. The hurler gave up three hits and one run over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two. Maddie Adams took the loss for Lincoln Land. The hurler went six innings, giving up six runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking two.
Allie Dolenc, Emmy Renfro, and Sam Gleckler each collected one hit for Lincoln Land. Allie Dolenc led Lincoln Land with one run batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.
P Parkes and M Miller were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Lake Sumter while hitting back-to-back. M Miller went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Lake Sumter stole four bases in the game. Lake Sumter turned one double play in the game.

Game 2 - Lincoln Land Loggers Lead Slips In Loss To Lake Sumter

Monday's game against Lake Sumter was a heartbreaker for Lincoln Land, as they lost the lead late in a 7-6 defeat at Leesburg, FL. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the sixth when S Lukshak hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Lincoln Land fell behind by four runs in the first inning, but then tried to fight back. Lincoln Land closed the gap by scoring on a solo home run, a solo home run, a single, a double, a single, and a walk.
Lake Sumter got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after M Miller singled, scoring one run, and E Chisholm homered to center field, scoring three runs.
Lincoln Land flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on seven hits to take the lead, 5-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a solo home run to center field by Emmy Renfro on an 0-2 count that drove in one.
P Packes homered to center field, which helped Lake Sumter tie the game at five in the bottom of the third. Lincoln Land took the lead in the top of the sixth. Sam Gleckler drew a walk, scoring one run, to give Lincoln Land the advantage, 6-5.
Lake Sumter took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning after S Ellis singled to center field, and S Lukshak hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
K Duquette earned the win for Lake Sumter. The pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking five. Faith Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land. The starter went six innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits, striking out three and walking three. K Rumer led things off in the circle for Lake Sumter. The hurler gave up two hits and two runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking none.
Lincoln Land accumulated 13 hits in the game. Emmy Renfro provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Lincoln Land with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Madison Kloba, Sam Gleckler, Shelby Finchum, and Maddie Adams each collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land. The Loggers had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Allie Dolenc and Abby Mcdonald led the team with two bases on balls each.
E Chisholm went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. P Packes and N Werking each collected two hits for Lake Sumter. M Hegedus stole two bases. Lake Sumter ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game.
