Loggers End the Regular Season with a Sweep

    The Loggers defeated McHenry County College in straight sets with scores of 26-24, 28-26, and 25-17. Ella Kinkelaar and Gracie Brockett each led the Loggers in kills with 10, Morgan Cowdrey earned 8 kills, while Savannah Kaeb had 4, and Laynee Whitsitt, Izzy Lynch, and Harper Darr each contributed 3 kills for the Loggers. Ella Kinkelaar chalked up 25 assists in the 3 sets, while Izzy Lynch had 5, Morgan Cowdrey had 3 assists.  Ella Kinkelaar, Izzy Lynch, and Gracie Brockett each earned 2 aces for the Loggers, while Morgan Cowdrey, Harper Darr, and Kaylee Abens each contributed 1 ace. 

    Morgan Cowdrey led the Loggers defense in digs with 16, Kaylee Abens followed with 11, Izzy Lynch and Harper Darr each had 10 digs, while Ella Kinkelaar had 6. Savannah Kaeb was a force at the net earning 3 solo blocks, Gracie Brockett had 2 solo blocks and 1 block assist, and Ella Kinkelaar and Laynee Whitsitt each had 1 solo block, and Harper Darr had 1 block assist. 
The Loggers ended their weekend with a 5-set win over Rock Valley, securing a 4-0 record on the weekend. The scores were 25-15, 21-25, 25-22, 25-27, 15-9. Setter, Ella Kinkelaar, earned 39 assists, reaching her milestone of 1,001 career assists! Kinkelaar also earned ANOTHER triple-double on the season with 15 digs and 13 kills, and a .571 hitting percentage during this match. Kinkelaar has been a crucial asset for the Loggers in her 2 seasons. 

    Gracie Brockett followed right behind kill leader, Ella Kinkelaar, with 12 kills and a .360 hitting percentage, Savannah Kaeb earned 11 and a .348 hitting percentage, Morgan Cowdrey had 10 kills, Harper Darr earned 7, and Laynee Whitsitt contributed 5 kills. Kaylee Abens and Gracie Brockett each contributed 3 aces, Harper Darr and Ella Kinkelaar had 2, and Morgan Cowdrey had 1 ace. Morgan Cowdrey picked up 14 digs, Kaylee Abens had 13, and Izzy Lynch with 11 digs and 9 assists. Savannah Kaeb earned 4 solo blocks and 1 block assist, while Gracie Brockett had 3 solo blocks, Laynee Whisitt had 2, and Harper Darr had 1 solo block and 1 block assist. The Loggers are 22-16 heading into their regional tournament on November 8th.
