The Loggers defeated Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ 7-4 on Saturday. The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Andrew Hendrickson singled, Nolan McMasters singled, Hunter Moser was struck by a pitch, and Chase Jetel walked, each scoring one run. The Loggers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Moser singled, scoring one run, and Wandel Campana doubled, scoring two runs. Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a home run to left field by Nathan Edders.
Porter Conn earned the win for the Loggers. The lefty surrendered three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one. Nick Krueger took the loss for Danville Area CC Jaguars. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits, striking out four and walking one. Ryan Oswald appeared in relief for theĀ Loggers.
Campana and Moser were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Loggers. Hendrickson led the Loggers with two hits in four at bats. The Loggers turned one double play in the game. The Loggers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Grant Pohlman had the most chances in the field with nine.
Edders seized on their opportunities, leading Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup.

Despite a 5-run deficit in the fifth inning, theĀ Loggers almost came all the way back, eventually falling 5-3 to Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ on Saturday. The Loggers closed the gap by scoring on a home run and a walk. Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ were the first to get on the board in the first when Kody Morton hit a solo home run to left field.
Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Nathan Edders singled, Xavier Cantrell grounded out, and Mason Rice hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Grant Pohlman homered to left field, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth for the Loggers.
Kenseth Johns earned the win for Danville Area CC Jaguars. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking five. Mark Wolak took the loss for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went four and one-third innings, surrendering five runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one.
Pohlman drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Loggers with two runs batted in. They went 2-for-4 on the day. Andrew Randazzo paced the Loggers with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game.
Carter Wambach and Shea Zbrozek were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ while hitting back-to-back. Rice, Edders, Morton, and Wambach each drove in one run for Danville Area CC Jaguars. Danville Area CC JaguarsĀ turned two double plays in the game.
