The Loggers could not keep pace with SWIC Blue Storm 10-5 on Wednesday at Belleville. The Loggers opened the scoring in the first after Grant Pohlman grounded out, scoring one run. SWIC Blue Storm made the score 4-1 in the bottom of the second after Preston Wright hit a solo home run to right field, Zach Zychowski hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Jovan Gill singled, scoring two runs.

SWIC Blue Storm added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jose Trinidad singled, and Zychowski hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Wright hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the fourth for the SWIC Blue Storm.

The Loggers made the score 7-4 in the top of the seventh inning when Chase Jetel homered to right field, scoring two runs, and Andrew Hendrickson singled, scoring one run.

Franklin Sosa earned the win for SWIC Blue Storm. The righty surrendered six hits and four runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking two. Will Leman pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Loggers. The righty allowed three hits and one run while, striking out two and walking one. Matt Miscik took the loss for Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went two and one-third innings, allowing six runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out four and walking two.

The Loggers accumulated nine hits in the game. Jetel, the number seven hitter for the Loggers, led the way with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-4 on the day. Ethan Hurst led the Loggers with two hits in four at bats. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.

SWIC Blue Storm collected nine hits in the game. Gill provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led SWIC Blue Storm with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Wright hit two home runs in the game. The left-handed hitter went 3-5 with two runs scored and two runs batted in.

The Loggers welcome Danville Area CC Jaguars on Friday for their next game.
