Game 1 - Bryant & Stratton Bobcats
The Loggers lost to Bryant & Stratton Bobcats 4-1 on Saturday at Space Coast. Bryant & Stratton Bobcats got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Lizzy tripled, and Bryant & Stratton Bobcats scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.
Kaylee Yost took the loss for Loggers Softball 2024. The righty went six innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking two.
Emmy Renfro and Haley Willan each collected one hit for the Loggers. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.
Lizzy led Bryant & Stratton Bobcats with two hits in three at bats. Madi Birling, Cain, and Lizzy each drove in one run for Bryant & Stratton Bobcats. Bryant & Stratton Bobcats ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game.

Game 2 - Rochester Community and Technical College
The Loggers effort to come back from down seven runs in the second inning came up just short, as they fell 18-17 to Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC Yellowjackets) on Saturday at Space Coast. Loggers Softball 2024 closed the gap by scoring on a single, a single, a fielder's choice, a ground out, an error, a tag up, an error, a single, a single, a home run, a double, and a single.
Destiny Loeb collected three hits in six at bats in the loss. Loeb singled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the seventh inning. RCTC Yellowjackets opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. RCTC Yellowjackets first got on the board when Zoey Clark singled, scoring one run.
RCTC Yellowjackets scored five runs on four hits in the top of the second inning. Aubrey Grover drew a walk, scoring one run, Clark doubled, scoring two runs, and Bailey Monson hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.
The Loggers scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Loeb singled, scoring two runs, Bridgette Royer singled, scoring one run, Taylor Draeger induced Andee Brown to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Maranda File grounded out, scoring one run.
The Loggers tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to an error, and a tag up by Sage Carr. A grand slam to left field by Grover gave RCTC Yellowjackets the lead,
12-8, in the top of the fifth. File homered to center field, which helped Loggers Softball 2024 tie the game at 15 in the bottom of the seventh. RCTC Yellowjackets took the lead in the top of the eighth. Clark doubled, scoring three runs, to give RCTC Yellowjackets the advantage, 18-15.
Bailey Teasley pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for the Loggers. The reliever surrendered eight hits and eight runs (six earned) while, striking out three and walking three. Kylan Arndt stepped in the circle first for the Loggers. They surrendered seven hits and seven runs (six earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Draeger started in the circle for RCTC Yellowjackets. The righty surrendered seven hits and six runs over two innings, striking out none and walking none.
The Loggers tallied 17 hits in the game. Brown drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Loggers with four runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Royer, Kaylee Yost, Charlie Hayes, File, and Carr each collected multiple hits for the Loggers.
RCTC Yellowjackets collected 18 hits in the game. Clark led RCTC Yellowjackets with four hits in six at bats. Monson, Mirrah Wells, Grover, Abby Zahn, and Skylar Beckel each collected multiple hits for RCTC Yellowjackets. Zahn led RCTC Yellowjackets with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Zahn, Presley Newcomb, and Beckel each stole multiple bases for RCTC Yellowjackets. RCTC Yellowjackets ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 11 stolen bases for the game.
Next up for the Loggers is a game at Daytona State College on Sunday.
