Loggers Keep Rolling on the Road

The #9 ranked Lincoln Land Loggers went on the road to Chicago and won a decisive victory 72-29 over Harry Truman College.  The Loggers jumped on Truman quickly and held a 9-0 lead before the Falcons used their first timeout. Lincoln Land managed 19 first quarter points. The Loggers transition game took hold in the second period scoring 23 points. Sophomore guard Sam Lindhorst scored 21 points in the first half. She had five steals in the half contributed to her scoring.
The second half was much of the same as Lincoln Land extended their lead to 62-25 at the end of the third quarter.  The Loggers gave up just four points in the final period to end the game 72-29.  
Sam Lindhorst lead the Loggers with 21 points despite sitting most of the second half.  Taylor Blehm scored 12 points going 6/6 from the field. Megan Harrell scored eleven, most of which also came in the first half. Whitney Rumbold bulled down 13 rebounds, while Harrell added 10.  Durbin Thomas lead the Loggers with four assists.
Lincoln Land improves to 4-0 and will travel to St. Louis on Tuesday for a non conference game.
