The Lincoln Land Women's Soccer team traveled to Godfrey, IL to take on the Lewis and Clark Trailblazers.
The Trailblazers controlled the possession for most of the first half with sideline to sideline passing. The Trailblazers broke the scoreless game when they laid a ball back from the end line to the top of the small box to go up 1-0 (18'). It didn't take very long for the Trailblazers to find another as they were able to find the net from a short corner kick play that was served to the back post and tapped in by the Trailblazer striker to go up 2-0(20'). The Trailblazers would end the half with a near side goal(36')from just inside the box.
The Loggers made some changes going into the second half and started to settle down and gain more possession. However, the Trailblazers were able to go up 4-0(58') on a 35' yard shot that fell just under the crossbar.
The Loggers would find one of their own when Lauryn Klobnack sent a dangerous ball in to Kyndel Moore but was intercepted by the last Trailblazer defender before Kyndel Moore battled back to gain possession and was able to put her first goal of the season on the scoreboard making it 4-1(63').
The Loggers were called for a foul in the box and the Trailblazers capitalized on their penalty kick to go up 5-1(65'). The Trailblazers would find their final goal of the game on a shot that fell just under the crossbar, just outside the box to bring the final score 6-1(77').
