Lincoln Land Baseball Split on First Day of SWIC Tourney

LLCC vs St. Louis CC:
The Loggers defeated St. Louis CC 11-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Matt Miscik induced a double-play from Cooper Howell to finish off the game.
The Loggers got things started in the first inning.  Lincoln Land scored one run when Luke Kracik doubled. The Loggers scored five runs in the third inning.  Will Rohlk, Trent Koehler, Hunter Moser, and Nolan McMasters each drove in runs during the inning.
A double by Tyler Prince in the first inning was a positive for St. Louis CC.
Ben Draeger pitched Loggers to victory. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out four and walking zero.  Miscik threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Clay Kemp started the game for St. Louis CC. Kemp allowed seven hits and nine runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.  Connor Theal threw one and one-third innings in relief. Lincoln Land socked two home runs on the day. Moser had a four bagger in the third inning. Rohlk went deep in the third inning.
The Loggers racked up ten hits on the day.  Kracik, Rohlk, and Austin Adcock each racked up multiple hits for LLCC.  Adcock, Rohlk, and Kracik each managed two hits to lead the Loggers.  The team didn't commit a single error in the field. Rohlk had eight chances in the field, the most on the team. Prince went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead St. Louis CC in hits.
LLCC vs Jefferson College:
The Loggers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-3 loss to Jefferson College on Saturday.  Jefferson College took the lead on an error in the first inning. Jefferson College opened up scoring in the first inning.
Jefferson College scored three runs in the third inning. Batters contributed to the big inning included Ott, Colby, Gray, Hesston, and Matousek, Jack, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Carr, Kannon led things off on the mound for Jefferson College. The fireballer lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out three.
Mitch Dye toed the rubber for the Loggers. Dye allowed seven hits and six runs over four and a third innings, striking out five and walking zero.  Logan Antrim threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.
Loggers smacked one home run on the day. Wandel Campana put one out in the fifth inning
The Loggers totaled seven hits in the game.  Trent Koehler and Austin Adcock each racked up multiple hits for LLCC.  Adcock and Koehler each managed two hits to lead Lincoln Land.
Jefferson College tallied seven hits on the day.  Earleywine, Connor and Matousek, Jack all managed multiple hits for Jefferson College.  Earleywine, Connor went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Jefferson College in hits.  They sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Shevey, Boone had the most chances in the field with seven.
