The Loggers, coming off their first loss of the year, were unable to get back in the winning column after dropping Saturday's afternoon contest to the Trailblazers of Lewis and Clark, 83-63.
The start of the contest jump started the Loggers playing from behind as they found themselves down double digits only four minutes into the game. Lincoln Land had to burn three timeouts early in the contest as the Trailblazers put on a scoring run to build a sizable lead. About halfway through the first half Lewis and Clark led by as many as 20. Although it didn't get worse from there, the Loggers made little headway into their deficit and went into the half trailing 42-24.
Lincoln Land found some charge thanks to some hot scoring by Michael Ousley and 16 second half points from Dane Foster. LLCC chipped away and chipped away and got the game back to a 10 point contest with 7:00 to go in the game. Unfortunately, that's where the Loggers ran out of gas. Lewis and Clark made enough plays down the stretch and was able to lead by as many as 23 and the eventual victory.
Ousley ended with a game high 20. Foster ended with 18. And Cameron Kincaid added 17.
The Loggers fall to 1-2 on the year. They will be at home for a Tuesday evening contest against Illinois Valley Community College.
