Strong Offense Not Enough As Loggers Falls To Central Florida College
Central Florida College bested Loggers in a high-scoring affair, 18-8.
The Loggers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Central Florida College, giving up 18 runs.
Central Florida College got things moving in the first inning.  Kebin Kilpatrick was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
Central Florida College took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Roberto Penahomered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.
Loggers notched six runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a triple by Jayden Reed, a single by Noah Diederich, and a double by Kyle Werries.
Central Florida College scored seven runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Central Florida College was led by Miguel Useche, Carlos Salaverria,  Taber Mongero, Nicholas Calero, and Pena, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Dylan Robinson earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Central Florida College. He went four innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out three. Carter Seabrooke, Jackson Taylor, and Nicky Gibbs all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
TJ Painter took the loss for Loggers. He went five innings, allowing nine runs on ten hits, striking out five and walking one.
Eric Linder started the game for Central Florida College. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking zero
Loggers socked one home run on the day. Diederichwent deep in the fifth inning.
Diederich led Loggers with two hits in three at bats.
Central Florida College tallied 17 hits in the game. Kilpatrick, Mongero, Myles Colangelo, Gabe Cabrera, Calero, and Pena each had multiple hits for Central Florida College.
