Parkland runs away from short-handed Logger men's basketball

A short handed Loggers men's basketball team fell 100-51 to the Parkland College Cobras.

Hindered by a slew of injuries, the Loggers entered Saturday's contest with only 6 available players. Despite that fact, the Loggers were able to hold a few early leads and hung with Parkland past the halfway point in the first half. With the score at 21-19 with Parkland ahead, the Cobras were able to begin to pull away with a 10-0 run and finished the half on 22-6 streak. Lincoln Land trailed 43-25 at the half. The second half was worse for LLCC. Parkland opened on a 32-5 run that put the game away for good. The eventual final score was 100-51 Parkland.

Sophomore Jordan Brooks lead LLCC with 17 points, going 5 for 7 from the three point line. Freshmen Darius Brewington added 11. Freshmen Garik Hill pulled down a team high 10 rebounds on the afternoon.

Lincoln Land falls to 3-20 overall and 0-3 in the MWAC. They play at home Monday against MacMurray JV.
