Loggers Takes Victory Over Lake Land College
Loggers defeated Lake Land College 7-2 on Saturday.
Lake Land College got things moving in the first inning, when Isiah Hart singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Loggers pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Todd Fowler singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs and Ben Chapman singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Spencer Walker earned the win for Loggers. He went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out four.  Lee Hardiek threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Kolby Pemberton took the loss for Lake Land College. He allowed eight hits and six runs over five and a third innings, striking out six.
Loggers tallied ten hits in the game.  Jalen Ping and Fowler all managed multiple hits for Loggers.  Fowler and Ping each collected two hits to lead Loggers.  Loggersdidn't commit a single error in the field. Chapman had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
Lake Land College racked up six hits.  Hart and Quienten Helmuth all managed multiple hits for Lake Land College.
