The Lincoln Land Logger men's basketball team fell at home 73-60 to conference for Illinois Central College.
In the first half the two teams played fairly evenly and neither was able to build much of an advantage. Late in the half ICC was able to expand their lead from 2 to 8 going into the half. Earlier in the season the Loggers trailed at the half by 4 and ended up losing big to the Cougars. Because of that, LLCC knew they were in for a tough fight in the second half. ICC was able to slowly push their advantage out further and further and led by as many as 18. The Loggers had their chances when around 8:00 to go they trailed by 13 and had possession of the ball, however they turned the ball over three times in a row which killed any chance of the game getting tight enough to be interesting. The Loggers were abe to get the last 5 points of the game to bring their deficit back to that 13 mark, but never really were a threat again.
Lincoln Land was led by sophomore Jordan Brooks and freshmen Koen Jones who tied for the game high with 15. Freshmen Jered Cain who had his second game in a row in double digits with 13. Cain and Jones each pulled down a team high 6 boards as well.
Lincoln Land stumbles to 4-24 and 0-6 in the MWAC conference. They will remain home to close out their home regular season schedule against John Wood Community College on Wednesday night.
