The Loggers men's soccer team played their home opener Wednesday night against Carl Sandburg College. 

Both teams entered with an 0-1 record and looking for their first win of the season. 

The game was evenly played through the first 30 minutes of the game. At that point however, Carl Sandburg was awarded a free kick from 40 yards out. Kyle Neacy from Sandburg was able to get the ball into the net off the bounce to take a 1-0 advantage for the Chargers. 

Lincoln Land was able to fight right back on two Connor Novy goals to bring the Loggers in front 2-1 to end the half. 

Despite holding the ball possession advantage LLCC was unable to put another goal on the board. That proved a disaster as Carl Sandburg was able to put in 2 goals to come away with a 3-2 victory.  


LLCC falls to 0-2 on the season.
