Lincoln Land again fell short in the second half of their contest and eventually fell 91-59 to the visiting Cobras of Parkland.
The Loggers struggled with shooting in the first half as they shot a measly 19% in the half. Lincoln Land was only able to put in 4 field goals in the half, while also turning it over 7 times. LLCC did go 11 for 12 from the line, the lone good stat for the Loggers. LLCC also gave up 12 offensive rebounds in the half, which gave Parkland double digit second chance points.
Although Lincoln Land trailed by as many as 21 in the early moments of the second half, some hot shooting from sophomore Nic Hagel pulled the Loggers back into the game and brought them within 11 at 51-40. That was the closest Lincoln Land would be as Parkland rattled off 11 straight points on their way to a 17-2 run over the next 3:00+ minutes of the game to put LLCC down by over 20 for the rest of the game. Parkland eventually put the game away, 91-59. For the third straight game the Loggers have given up at least 50 points in the second half.
Lincoln Land turned the ball over 21 times and allowed Parkland to pull in 22 offensive rebounds, that result was Parkland was able to get 34 more field goal attempts than the Loggers. Points were at a premium for the Loggers who got two players in double digits: sophomore Nic Hagel led the game with 24. Freshman Benji Eaker got to 10 points for LLCC.
LLCC is now 4-22 on the season and 1-5 in conference play. They get a week off before they host Danville Area Community College at home on Wednesday.
