Thursday night the Lincoln Land Loggers took on Illinois Valley Community College at home.

The Loggers finally got most of the team back from injury and played like it. The Loggers began the game fairly quickly when at the 10:00 mark Sergio da Ventura played a give n go with Christian Fierro and Sergio hit a hard shot into the corner of the goal to give the Loggers the 1-0 lead.

Fifteen minutes later the Loggers struck again when Andrew Watters gave a nice through ball to Christian Fierro who hit a low shot under the goalie's arm for the second goal. Ten minutes later Christian Fierro created an opportunity for himself when he was fouled inside the box and drew a penalty kick. Fierro scored the penalty to make it 3-0. Illinois Valley struck back with a cross in the box from Cory Beardsley who found Tyler Russow jumping up for a head ball to sneak the goal past LLCC keeper Cale Sherrock. At half the Loggers found themselves up 3-1. 

The second half was controlled nearly completely by the Loggers, who produced 6 shots on goal, but were unable to get another goal. 
Fortunately, Josue Resendiz held a shutout for them in the 2nd half and LLCC held the score to 3-1. 

LLCC improves to  2-6 on the season and IVCC falls to 0-9-1.
