Loggers Lose Doubleheader to DACC
Despite a big day at the plate for Katie McLean (5-for-8 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBIs) the Loggers were swept 10-8 and 9-5.
GAME ONE:
The Loggers led the Jaguars 8-3 going into the bottom of the 5
th, when DACC bats came alive. DACC scored 4 runs in the 5
th inning and 3 more in the 6
th to run the final to 10-8 in favor of Danville.
McLean led the Loggers in game one going 3-for-4 with a single, double and triple. Lexy Koester, 2-for-4 was the only other Logger with multiple hits.
Tess Beckham started (4.67 innings) and was relieved by Maddison Routh and finally, Brittany Roady who recorded the loss.
GAME TWO:
The Loggers scored first in game two and Danville answered in their half inning to tie the score 1-1. DACC score 2 runs in the 4
th. They continued to produce runs as they scored 5 in the 5
th and 1 more in the 6
th for insurance. DACC's Hannah Ogg was the winning pitcher in both games today.
Madie Sims picked up her 2
nd double on the day as she went 2-for-3. Nicole Robinson was 3-for-3 with 1 run scored for the Loggers. Addison Bryant was the losing pitcher for the Loggers. Bryant went 4 innings and allowed 7 runs (4 earned) and 10 hits. Madison Routh relieved Bryant in the 5
thand gave up 2 runs on 4 hits.
