Loggers Sweep Spoon River to Complete 4 Game Set

Lincoln Land defeated Spoon River College today, 7-5 and 10-2.  Madie Sims led the Logger offense, going 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs, including her 9th homerun of the year.  Ashton Dyche was also 2-for-4 as the Loggers posted 10 hits in game one.  

Winning pitcher was Brittany Roady (6-5) who threw a complete game.  Roady allowed 5 runs while striking out 9 SRC hitters.  Losing pitcher for Spoon River was April Hoover.

The Loggers collected 15 hits and scored 10 runs to defeat Spoon River 10-2.  Madie Sims, Katie McLean, Ashton Dyche, Gracie Schweighart and Katelyn Presley had two hits apiece in game two. Dyche hit her 3 home run of the season. Tess Beckham (6-3) went 5 2/3 innings for the win.  Beckham allowed 2 run with 7 strikeouts and 4 walks.  Maddie Routh completed the game, going 1 1/3 innings in relief.

The Loggers are now 24-14 on the year and 19-3 in the MWAC.
