The Loggers scored 4 runs in in the first inning of both games and never looked back. LLCC had five players with multiple hits as the produced 13 runs in game one to win 13-2. Katie McLean, Katelyn Presley, Madie Sims, Ashton Dyche and Hailey Patrick a big day at the plate. Presley was 3-for-4, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBIs. McLean (3 run homer in the 3
rd) and Sims (2 run homer in the 2
nd) each had home runs in the first game.
Addison Bryant was the winning pitcher for the Loggers. Bryant gave up 2 runs in the 5
th (neither were earned) and scattered 4 hits with 4 Ks. Bryant is now 4-2 on the year. Kristin Melloh was the losing pitcher for DACC.
Game 2
LLCC scored 4 runs in the first and 4 in the second inning to win game two 8-0 in 5 innings. Brittany Roady was the winning pitcher for the Loggers. Roady went 5 innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 2 Jaguar hitters. Hannah Ogg was the losing pitcher for DACC.
Madie Sims was 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored and her 6
th home run of the year. Ashton Dyche picked up her first home run (2 RBIs) of the year in the first inning.
"We were focused today at the plate, on the mound and we made some big plays," said Coach John Marsaglia. "DACC is a very good team and to hold them to 9 hits all day takes a team effort."
LLCC is now 12-12 on the year 8-2 in the MWAC.
The Loggers are scheduled to play at Parkland on Monday, April 2
nd.
