Loggers Sweep the Lynx 12-4 and 4-3 in double header at Lincoln College

Lincoln Land posted 14 hits in game one.  Katie McLean and Kari Sarhage had big contributions at the plate, as each went 3-for-5.  Sarhage collected 4 RBIs in the opening win.   Nicole Robinson and Hailey Patrick also had multiple hits in the win.  In game one, the Lynx took the early lead as they scored first. However, the lead did not last long as the Loggers answered with 3 runs in the top of the second inning. Lincoln College scored another run in the bottom of the third to cut into the Logger lead. Each team answered with 2 runs in the 5th inning.  LLCC scored 4 runs in the 6th and 3 more in the 7th to push their final advantage to 12-4  Some other top performers were Ali Peden was 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored, and Mallory Jones had 2 hits as well for the Lynx.

Addison Bryant (3-2) was the winning pitcher for the Loggers. Bryant went 4.67 innings, scattered 7 hits and allowed 4 runs (only 2 earned).  She had 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Brittany Roady relieved Bryant and picked up the save and went 2.33 innings, allowing only 1 hit and no runs with 1 strikeout.  Kiya Harper went the distance for the Lynx and picked up the loss.

Madie Sims and Katie McLean led the Logger offense in game two as the Loggers out hit the Lynx 10-8.  Sims was 2-for-4 with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs.  McLean was 2-for-4.  Kiya Harper led the Lynx, going 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

Madison Routh (2-2) was the winning pitcher.  Routh threw 6.33 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) and striking out 3. Routh struck out the first batter in the bottom of the 7th inning.  Ali Peden for Lincoln reached first on an infield hit. Skylar Dougherty reached first on and error/fielder's choice that left the runners at the corners.  A second infield error loaded the bases for the Lynx.  Tess Beckham came in with 1 out and bases loaded shut down Lincoln to pick up the save and the game win 4-3.
