Men’s basketball lose tough fought contest

Despite a season high tying 18 points from sophomore Logan Clayton, the Lincoln Land Logger men's basketball team fell in Chicago to Harry S Truman College, 73-66.

The Loggers held the halftime lead of 34-30, and led late in the contest, but stumbled late and Truman knocked in free throws to help secure the victory for the Falcons.

The Loggers were down leading scorer Nic Hagel and only had 8 in uniform Thursday night, which allowed for solid scoring efforts from Clayton, 14 from sophomore Jake Pennell, and 10 a piece from sophomore CJ May and freshman Benji Eaker.

Lincoln Land looks to use the holiday break to recoup from their 0-12 stretch. They will play again after the New Year against South Suburban College January 5th at Cass Gymnasium.
