Tonight the Loggers traveled to East Peoria to take on the Cougars of Illinois Central College and lost 7-2.
Lincoln Land was finally able to convert on some socring opportunities this evening. The Loggers were able to score for the first time in four games, but ultimately it still proved not enought. Lincoln Land fought hard and never gave up, but in the end turnovers doomed the Loggers who found themselves down 4-1 at half. Scoring for the Loggers in the first half first was Nkululeko Mkhonto assisted by Dimitrije Antonijevic.
The second half proved more of the same as the Loggers produced again only one goal by Murphy Domitien assisted by Dimitrije Antonijevic, his second of the game. ICC was able to find the net 3 more times to push the final score to 7-2. Ultimately, the game came down to opportunities and ICC had 19 shots on goal compared to the LLCC 5.
The Loggers drop to 0-8 on the year and stay on the road as they head to Champaign to take on Parkland on Wednesday afternoon at 4.
