LLCC defeats #15 McHenry 25-15, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16

Lincoln Land defeated McHenry Community College in its first match Friday night at the Parkland Invitational.  The Loggers started hot with a balanced offense and great defense by Bobana Marusic, giving Lincoln Land a 25-15 victory.  The second set alternated points for most of the set, until a bang-bang play and call at 19-19 gave McHenry the momentum, permitting them to win 25-21.  The Loggers did not fold and in the third set quickly built the lead behind the hitting of Delaney Edwards and aggressive serving by setter Lainey Jackson.  This lead held up and McHenry could never get closer than 4 points during the set.  The fourth set saw the Loggers dominate with an incredible team defensive performance, with seven different players picking up digs in the deciding contest.
