Men's soccer looked to get in the win column at home this evening against SWIC, but unfortunately fell 3-0. The game was very evenly matched for the majority of the game, however the Loggers were unable to convert on their opportunities. Lincoln Land had their chances early, Jefferson Brito missed a wide open goal and Carter Lynch had a shot blocked by the goalie from close range. Up to this point the Loggers controlled most of the game, but just could not score. SWIC only had a few dangerous chances, but took advantage and scored on 3 of those chances. At half SWIC held a 1-0 edge over the Loggers on a goal from Dalton Scace, assisted by Juan Romero.  15:00 into the second half the Loggers got a big lift as goalie Kyle Bugay saved a penalty kick. However, again Lincoln Land could not keep pace with SWIC as Trevor Panyik scored a second SWIC goal 25 minutes into the half. Late in the game Collin Black tacked on the third goal with 10 seconds left with another assist from Juan Romero. The final seconds ticked off and left the Loggers on the short end of a 3-0 score. 

The Loggers have fallen to 0-7 on the season. They will continue play on Saturday against MWAC opponent Illinois Central College.
