In their second match of the evening, the Loggers came out quick, winning the first two sets behind a balanced attack, led by freshmen Bailey Rexroad and Delaney Edwards. In the third set, LLCC built a 6-1 lead and saw it slip away, then reached 22-18 before letting the Cavaliers of Johnson County eek out a 25-23 win before the Loggers turned it back on in the fourth set to win 25-17 and take the match.
"I loved our balanced attack in the match. It's hard to stop a team when you don't know where the ball is going and everyone is capable of contributing. I thought Brea and Bailey were especially good, but we also got a solid match from our key passers--that's a big difference, too. The catch is, that's the past. Time to get some rest and play a couple more matches against ranked teams in the morning."
