Parkland and Lincoln Land faced off today in a conference and region battle. Parkland scored 4 runs in game 2 to win 4-2 and the Loggers came back to win game two, 1-0. Game two was a pitching dual between Logger sophomore Bri Graham and Sophie Catlin for the Cobras. Bri Graham threw a 3 hit shutout, facing 26 batters and striking out 5 Cobra hitters. "It was a good game to watch," said Coach John Marsaglia. "Both Graham and Jordan Kraft deserved wins today, but that's softball. I was proud of the girls today for the way that they competed." Katie McLean (2-for-3) again led the way offensively for the Loggers in game two. The Loggers scored in the 2nd inning on a lead off double by Ashton Dyche followed by a sacrifice bunt by Whitney David. One out, Maggie Comerford was hit by a pitch. Freshman Madison Routh hit a sacfly to right to scored Ashton Dyche from 3rd for what would be the winning run.
