Lincoln Land extended their winning streak to seven games on Saturday afternoon as they completed a four game conference sweep against the Lincoln College Lynx, winning 7-2 and 14-4.
 
Logger freshman starting pitcher Matt Steinhoff (1-2) earned his first collegiate win in game one allowing Lincoln's only two runs in his six innings of work.  Steinhoff surrendered five hits, one walk, and struck out three.  Jonathan Walder led the Logger offense, going 3 for 4 with two doubles and a solo homerun, his first on the season.  Aaron Steinhoff (1 for 4) doubled in a run and  Dalton Fletcher (1 for 3) belted a two run homerun to help secure the Logger lead.
 
Lincoln Land hammered out fourteen hits in the six inning shortened game two.  Logger second baseman Xavier Collier led the charge going 4 for 5, including two home runs (5) and the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the sixth, he finished with four runs batted in.  Aaron

Steinhoff, Brendan Hostettler, and Clay Bachman had two hits apiece and Carson Armsbury smacked a pinch hit three run homerun in his only at bat on the day .  Rick Dour (3-1) picked of the win for the Loggers on the mound.  Dour pitch five strong innings, surrendering three earned runs on four hits, two walks, and three strikeouts.
 
Lincoln Land is now 23-7 on the season and 10-6 in the Midwest Athletic Conference. The Loggers are idle until next weekend when they resume play against conference foe Heartland Community College.  The series is scheduled to begin Saturday April 22 in Springfield at 1:00pm.
