Daytona State swept the Loggers in double header, 7-6 and 8-0.
The Loggers trailed 3-0 going into the top of the 5th inning when the Loggers scored 6 runs on 4 hits. The Falcons battled back and tied the game 6-6 in bottom of the 7th inning. Starting Logger pitcher, Jordan Kraft was lifted in the 7th inning after Riley Gore tripled to left followed by base hit RBI by Chloe Rosa. The game went to international tiebreaker in the 8th inning. Riley Gore drove in the winning run with a hit to right center. Madison Routh picked up the loss in relief.
Katie McLean and Kelsie Allen were the only multiple hitters with both going 2-for-4.
Game two was all Daytona State Falcons as they scored 8 runs on 10 hits. Madison Routh (2.67 innings) picked up the loss and was charged with 8 runs, all earned. Bri Graham relieved Routh and went 1.33 innings of work.
"We struggled at the plate today," said Coach John Marsaglia. "We usually need 9 or 10 hit games to secure a win and today we only had 9 hits total in both games. The Falcons were coming off a 14 game winning streak and both of their starting pitchers were very effective."
Ashton Dyche, Maggie Comerford and Megan Aubuchon were the only players to safely in game two.
LLCC will travel to Seminole State tomorrow for a double header starting at 2 pm.
