Wednesday night the Lincoln Land Loggers volleyball team looked to avenge their poor performance against ICC earlier in the season at the Cougar Plex in East Peoria. The Loggers were faced with the unfortunate circumstance of not having their head coach, Jim Dietz,due to illness, to lead them through a tough Cougar squad. That never seemed to faze the Loggers as they swept ICC in three sets.

Seven aces from five players were a highlight on the gym scoreboard, that also noted double digit kills from Kiersten Anderson and Brook Soebbing. "It was a testament to what Jim has said all year about us being able to not only play with but beat some of the best teams in the country," assistant coach Will Clawson commented after what he discovered was, "A turning point in our season in the right direction." Clawson and Dietz are hopeful that their upcoming home tournament this weekend will even more prove that the Loggers are a "force to be reckoned with."

The Loggers are now 16-5 on the season.
