LLCC split its two matches  on Saturday.  In the first match, LLCC defeated Lincoln Trail the two teams' second matchup of the year in a sweep.  In the match, the Loggers relied on contributions from everyone as twelve different players picked up digs ad another eleven tallied kills, including freshman Brook Soebbing's match high 12.
 
In the following match, the Loggers were defeated in straight sets by D-1 Jefferson College, coming closest to winning a set in Game Two where the Loggers took a 16-10 lead but didn't hold it, after a series of unforced errors.  "It's a case of where I should've called time out, but didn't.  I hoped we could play through a bad stretch and it didn't happen.  By the time I did call it--we'd lost our shot. That's on me," stated Coach Jim Dietz.

The third set was problematic as nagging injuries haunted LLCC and with the game locked at 8, Kiersten Anderson was hurt and left the match.  That led to a five-point JeffCo run and a following injury to another player led to another long run and the eventual final score of 25-14.  "That whole JeffCo match was a nightmare of injuries; we wound up with one player twisting a knee, another twisting an ankle, and then someone aggravating an existing injury.  Our injury list on Monday's going to look like something out of the NFL, I think, but we'll manage."  LLCC is back in action at home on Wednesday against #1 Parkland in a battle which will help determine the 2016 MWAC Title.
