Lincoln Land (33-17) and Spoon River College played the first two games of of their annual four game conference set of Friday afternoon, the Loggers winning both, 8-0 and 14-1.

Ben Hecht (8-2) earned the win for LLCC in game one by holding the Snappers hitless and scoreless in his four innings of work. Hecht struck out five and walked none. The Loggers had 12 hits in the game, getting multiple hit performances from Tyler Borski (2 for 4, double) Xavier Collier (3 for 5, triple RBI), and Ben Hecht (3 for 4, double, 2 RBIs). Conor White and Peyton Minder had run scoring singles.

Game two was more of the same from the Loggers as they pounded out ten more hits in the shortened five inning game. Ben Hecht (2 for 3) belted a two-run homerun and Xavier Collier added a three-run shot of his own to cap the Logger's scoring. Conor White was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI's , and Michael Ryan (1 for 3) drove in two with his double to left center field.

Ryan Arnold (7-2) got the win on the mound. Arnold gave up the only Snapper run of the day, a homerun off the bat of catcher Dominic Johnson. Arnold threw four innings, gave up three hits, walked two, and struck out six.

The Loggers and Snappers will resume their series at LLCC tomorrow morning, first pitch is at 10:00 am.
