Danville Area Community College - 80
LLCC - 63
The Lincoln Land Loggers men's basketball team saw their season come to an end after falling to Danville Area Community College Jaguars, 80-63.
The Loggers found themselves in an early hole down 11-3, but they slowly chipped away that deficit. A three pointer late in the first half gave Lincoln Land their first lead of the game. The two teams went back and forth with the Loggers taking a 3 point advantage in to half, 37-34.
Danville came out of the second half on fire and that along with some missed Logger shots put Lincoln Land again in a hole. Unfortunately, the Loggers were unable to overcome this deficit. Each time Lincoln Land was able to make a small run, Danville had the answer. Lincoln Land was unable to get enough defensive stops to get fully back in the game. Some hot shooting pushed the Jaguars lead out to their eventual victory of 17.
Lincoln Land went through cold stretches and were only able to get two scorers in double digits, sophomore Eddie Longmeyer and freshman Harold Robertson. Longmeyer led the game in Scoring with 19 while also bringing in 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Robertson ended with 16. Danville was able to get five scorers in double digits.
Lincoln Land finishes the year 16-15. Sophomores Tyler Burdine, Marshall Corbin, Shaquille Edwards, Eddie Longmeyer, and Riley Spencer played their last game for the Loggers.
