Game one started fast as the Loggers rolled to a 10-2 lead behind Izzy Carroll in the back row who snagged an ace and four digs early on.  Brea Cunningham picked up an ace as the teams traded points to 16-9.  The teams went back and forth the rest of the way with Summer Sabo and Kiersten Anderson contributing for four kills.  LLCC won 25-17. In game two, the two teams alternated points until 9-9 before an Anderson serving run broke it open temporarily to 13-9 though a LLCC hitting error, a Red Devil block and kill quickly saw the game retied.  It took a total effort on defense to close out the game.  "It was not just one person," Coach Dietz noted.  "We had people flying around in the back row digging everything. Izzy looked liked she was flying on a trapeze or something."  The final game saw LLCC take a big lead behind two kills from Brook Soebbing and two kills from Talesha Scott but Allen pulled to a tie at 16.  The teams battled back and forth until 21-21 when Michelle Ulrich's defense and the serving of Brea Cunningham proved the difference and LLCC won 25-22.

The second match for LLCC was against the Tigers of East Central College with a record of 13-5 and listed as receiving votes in the NJCAA National Poll.  LLCC swept the Tigers 25-12, 25-13, 25-19.

The Loggers started fast as two kills from Talesha Scott (part of her match high 12) and a long serving run by Izzy Carroll ran the score to 8-1.  Kendall Knop then put down three more aces and quickly the score was 13-3.  In all in the first set, LLCC tallied nine aces. In the second set, the same thing happened as Scott pounded a quick kill with a Kaylee Beekman serving run as LLCC took a quick 6-1 lead.  Summer Sabo followed up with two kills with Kaley Hennings chiming in two as well as LLCC held the lead at 16-9.  Great defense carried the Loggers the rest of the way to a 25-13 win.  In the third set, the teams swapped points until 4-4 before Kendall Knop picked up an ace and Sydney Jarrard scored a kill as the Loggers put up four quick points, stretching the lead to 21-13 behind Brook Soebbing's hitting before LLCC grew a little careless on defense, giving up an ace and letting a ball drop on miscommunication before winning the match 25-19.

LLCC defeated Kankakee Cavaliers to sweep its home tournament, winning 25-16, 25-9, 25-14.  Coach Dietz was smiling after the match, "I was pretty happy with how we played; we came out hard to start each game and didn't let up.  It's something I've been trying to emphasize and the girls are aware of the problem and working hard to fix it."

It showed against the Cavaliers of Kankakee as LLCC stormed out to a quick 9-4 lead in the first set behind the serves of Kendall Knop, followed by multiple kills by sophomore Kaley Hennings which pushed the lead to 16-6.  The two teams traded points the rest of the way with the final, 25-16.  In the second set, behind Talesha Scott's hitting, Addie Patton with a kill and a block, the Loggers started on a 10-0 run, stretching it to twelve points with two Sabria Phillips aces at 16-4 before coasting to a final 25-9 victory.  In the third set, the two squads swapped sideouts to 6-6 before a Knop ace and Scott kill opened the margin to 9-6.  It expanded from there behind a Sydney Jarrard ace and three Brooke Soebbing kills to 13-7, and the lead grew from there to the final score, 25-14: "Addie just was hitting a ton in the last set, especially with Kankakee focused on Talesha.  That's tough to defend."
