Men's Soccer traveled to Lincoln, Illinois to take on the Lynx of Lincoln College.  The Loggers lost 3-1 in a very tough, hard fought match on both sides.  Coach Pete Christofilakos stated, "We played very well, with great efforts from both Logger goalies, Alex Hamerlink and Alex Clark, who split net duties today. 

The Logger offense was led by Oscar Gordillo and Brock Tober.  Gordillo broke free down the end line to cross the ball for LLCC's Tober for the only Logger score of the game.  Jordan Lovell made a great run from the backfield and hit a shot that deflected off the crossbar for no score.  Lincoln controlled the first half of play, but the Loggers responded well to take over the second half.  The Lynx got out to a hot start, getting a penalty kick in the first 20 minutes of play that resulted in a goal by Jose Castillo.  Christian Castillo added another goal in the first half to put the Loggers down 2-0 at the half way mark.  Peter Kromah added on a 3rd goal late in the game to make the final score 3-1.

The Loggers will travel to Union, Missouri to take on East Central Community College on Tuesday, October 11th.
