Oscar Gordillo with 2 Goals
Men's Soccer defeated Heartland 3-2 in their last home game of the season. The match was evenly fought throughout the entire game. Both teams played extremely well and left it all out on the field. In the first game of the year, Heartland defeated the Loggers 302 in overtime at their place, but tonight the Loggers brought it home with the 3-2 in regulation play.
Alex Hamerlink led the way with 9 saves, two of which were in the second half that clearly saved the game for us. "Oscar Gordillo played very well as usual," stated Coach Christofilakos. Gordillo had two goals with 1 assist. Brock Tober had a very good game as well as scoring one goal on an assist by Blake Dannehold. The Loggers were on defensive end most of the game but Jordan Lovel, Kyle Goetz and Seth Fink held strong to hold them up long enough to prevent the Hawks from tying the game. Amine Hafid and Liam Rouane scored the two goals for Heartland. Alfonzo Vasquez was in the net for Heartland.
