LLCC Men's Soccer took on Robert Morris University - Springfield at the SASA Complex tonight for their last regular season game, and came away with a 2-2 tie. "We could not get much going offensively," stated Coach Pete Christofilakos. Offensively, the Loggers took the field without one of their scorers, Brock Tober. "Oscar Gordillo did his usual stuff creating and finishing goals." Devin Compton and Kyle Goetz both had great games defensively. Logger captain, Dalton Timm made his return to the lineup from an injury and helped the Loggers very much. Timm gave a Oscar Gordillo a nice pass who beat one defender and pushed the ball around the goalie to score the first goal for the Loggers.
Robert Morris came out strong to start the second half on a long distant goal from the Eagle's Hafiz Sannor. LLCC came back 20 minutes later as Blake Dannehold found Dalton Timm who hit a low shot past the goalie to take the lead 2-1. A mistake in the box caused a foul inside the box which led to an Eagle penalty kick and goal by Hafiz Sannor to tie the score 2-2. This was the second time this year that the Loggers ended the game in a tie.
The Loggers finished the regular season 3-12-2 and will play their first playoff game this Saturday at noon on the campus of Parkland Community College.
