Southwestern Illinois College scored three goals in the first half against the Loggers and held on to win 5-1. Coach Pete Christofilakos commented after the loss, "We have a few injuries right now and the players who are playing are not that healthy at this point and it showed." SWIC who was 4-4-0 coming into the match controlled the first half very well. Goalie Alex Clark was scored on 3 times in the half so Alex Hamelink came in the secon half as goalie and he gave up two goals.
Naba Alzhyri knocked in the only Logger goal on a loose ball on a corner kick from Adam Slater in the secon half. "We battled well in the second half and up a good fight for about 20 minutes but the Loggers were unable to turn the corner."
Lincoln Land falls to 3-3 on the year and will play this Sunday at home against East Central College at 2 pm.
