Springfield, IL -
LLCC scored 7 runs in the first inning to jump out in front of ICC and coasted to a 11-3 win in game one of the Region XXIV tourney at Claude Kracik Field.  Eight LLCC hitters had one hit each with Austin Muench (1-for-3, 3 RBIs) and Nick Lonergan having the only extra base hits with doubles in the first and third innings respectively.  Colby Griggs and Carter Pranger were 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs each. 

Konnor Aherin (4-3) picked up the win in relief of Sawyer Howard. Aherin, who relieved Howard after the rain delay went 5 innings, 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 strikeouts.

LLCC advances and will play John Wood tomorrow at 3 pm.
