It's basic baseball math...18 hits, 19 RBIs equals 20 runs as the Loggers defeat Spoon River 20-4 in game one of a double-header in Canton, Illinois. LLCC won game two 7-3 on 9 hits compared to just 3 by Spoon River. Game one was a shortened by the run rule as the Loggers scored 7 runs in the 2nd and 6th innings. Golby Griggs and Will Schneider led the Logger offense with 3 hits, 2 doubles and 3 RBIs each. Konnor Aherin (2-2) was the winning pitcher. Aherin went 4 innings allowing 3 runs (1 earned) on 7 hits
and 1 strikeout. Daniel Hemenway relieved Aherin in the 5th and went the final two innings. Hemenway gave up 2 hits and struckout 2 of the 9 batters he faced.
The Loggers scored 7 runs on 9 hits in the second game of the day. Zach Barnhart went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs. Third baseman Tyler Ring was 2-for-2 as well. Michael Ringer (4-1) went the distance allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and strikingout 3 Spoon River hitters.
