The Loggers lose to #1 ranked Jones County 8-0 in 5 innings in the opening game at the Gwen-Magee Invite. The Loggers didn't fair much better in game two of the double header, losing 9-1 against Copiah-Lincoln.
Sadie Mosher picked up the loss, going 4 innings and allowing 6 runs on 4 hits, and striking out two. Lindsday Floyd pitched the 5th inning giving up 2 runs to end the game.
LLCC had only 4 hits off of Jones County winning pitcher Teri Richey. Richey went all 5 innings and striking out 5 Logger hitters.

Game two, Hayley Long went four innings of shut out ball before giving up 5 runs in the 5th inning. Long (0-1) picked up the loss as she gave up 9 hits, 3 BB and 1 K in her first game of the year. Gabbi Clifton pitched the 6th inning and gave up 4 runs on 5 hits against the speedy Copiah-Lincoln hitters.
Cophiah-Lincoln's Rheagen Welch was the winning pitcher. Welch allowed 1 run on 4 hits and 2 Ks.
