LLCC faced the #1 team in the nation Wednesday night and was defeated in straight sets (21-25, 15-25, and 16-25) to see their season mark go to 11-12.

Game one was a close affair from start to finish, the key turning point taking place at 15-15 when a serve by Brenna Perinar hit the net and didn't go over, followed by a Parkland serve which hit the net and trickled over, followed by a quick kill by Parkland's all-American hitter, Lori Van Beek. LLCC lost 21-25.
Game two was close, with LLCC trailing 12-11 when a string of errors and blocks opened the game wide for Parkland. Eight consecutive points made it 20-11 and Parkland won 25-15. Unfortunately for the Loggers, game three started like the middle of the second was played. Two Parkland aces followed by two more blocks and another error helped Parkland to an 8-0 lead that they then opened slowly to 21-7. On a run by Perinar, LLCC was able to close some of the gap, but ran out of time, losing 25-16.
"I was pleased with how we played in game one," Dietz said afterwards, "But the issue in game two was frustrating. We made some poor choices and didn't make adjustments which led to that big run. I think we were nervous tonight--we talked about what we needed to do to win, but with the stats, we didn't execute. Instead, we tried to play a power-game against Parkland's block, and we just aren't built for that. We'll play them again in a few weeks at the MWAC Tournament, so we'll get a chance to see if we can make adjustments then."
