LLCC defeated Lincoln in three sets, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-21.
Â
The Lady Loggers started rocky, down 5-1 in game one before coming back with a four point run by server Tiffany Sunderlin which then sparked a hitting streak by Brittani Tabbert (who finished the match with 10 kills). Lincoln stopped the runs of points, but couldn't bring the game closer than five as LLCC closed it out 25-19.

Â
In game two, LLCC jumped out to a large lead immediately, behind great defense by sophomores Tessa Amsden and Andrea Inman, jumping out 7-0 and holding the lead the entire game, winning 25-17.Â
Â
In the third game, Lincoln came out on fire, taking advantage of several Logger miscues, staking a 5-0 and then 9-3 lead before Lincoln Land righted the ship behind four kills from Sammie Voils. LLCC caught Lincoln at 15 and then went on a four-point run that proved the margin of difference in a 25-21.

"We had some issues today of our own making—but not in a bad way. We've been trying some stuff in practice, working on adjustments, and we made those, they just weren't always successful. But we were making the adjustments and that's a good thing. We got great hitting from our outsides (Tabbert and Sunderlin), and Sammie as well. Now we prepare for another tourney in Iowa against some more good teams—ideally, we keep playing hard and improving on a day by day basis."
