LLCC baseball split with DACC for the second straight day, losing game one 2-1 and winning game two 5-3. The Loggers finished their four game set with DACC 2-2. The Loggers were held to four hits in game one. Nicholas Roubidoux was 1-for-3 with the only RBI in the second inning. Reed Willenborg was the losing pitcher, going 6 innings allowing 2 earned runs and 8 hits. Willenborg (2-2) struck out 2 and walked 1 in the losing effort.
The Loggers came back in game two to post 11 hits. Bryce Wright led the Loggers offensively going 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs. LLCC scored 2 runs on 4 hits to take the lead and the win in the 8
th inning. Will Schneider singled to center with one out in the 8
th. Sam Goode followed with an infield single to shortstop. Colby Griggs then picked up an RBI as he singled to the right side scoring Schneider. Bryce Wright picked up his second RBI on a single to right field. Drew Levitt was 2-for-5 with 1 RBI, Colby Griggs was 2-for-2 with 1 RBI and Tyler Borski was 2-for-4 for the Loggers. Blake Welch picked up the win in relief of starting pitcher Michael Ringer. Welch pitched 4 innings, allowing no runs and giving up 2 hits. Lucas Hall picked up the save allowing only 1 hit.
LLCC is now 20-9 overall and 8-4 in the MWAC.
