Logger baseball struggled offensively in game one to lose 4-1 to the Hawks. Austin Muench led off the bottom of the first inning, Drew Levitt bunted him to second base and Sam Goode singled up the middle to drive home Muench. Heartland took the lead in the 5th inning scoring two runs on two hits and one Logger error. Heartland's Frank Waliczek (W, 3-2) held the Loggers to 1 run on 4 hits. Sam Goode was 2-for-3 with 1 RBI. Tyler Borski (L, 2-1) went 4.1 innings for the Loggers. Borski allowed 2 runs on 4 hits with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Blake Welch and Connor Creasey relieved Borski in the 6th and 7th innings respectively.
The Loggers were held scoreless through 5 innings before scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th. With two outs Michael Reavy drove in two Logger runners on a single up the middle and Tyler Borski scored from 3rd on a wild pitch. LLCC won 3-2 on 4 hits and 2 errors. Sam Goode went 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs. Nick Lonergan (1-0) picked up the win in relief of starting Logger pitcher Logan Faber (4.2 innings).
