The Lincoln Land Loggers closed the regular season out at home with a 67-64 loss to conference foe Illinois Central College Cougars.
In what was a must win game for the Loggers in relation to conference seeding the Loggers came out ready to play. The game was close throughout with neither team taking a lead larger than 6 points. Down 5 with 1:00 left the Loggers were able to get a steal and made the basket to cut the Cougars lead to 3 points. Lincoln Land got a huge stop and secured possession with: 10 left. Following a timeout a last second shot fell short and Illinois Central College came out on top 67-64.
Lincoln Land was led in scoring by Garrett Williams who had a game high 21. Marcus Graham added 14 and Michael Cameron joined double digit scorers with 12.
Lincoln Land closed the regular season at 15-15 and 3-7 in the Mid-West Athletic Conference. Post season play begins Friday in Lincoln against conference champ John Wood Community College.
