The Loggers took their last road trip of the regular season today, losing to SWIC 5-2.  LLCC was looking for a win to secure a higher seed for regional play later this month.  The first half saw SWIC take the lead with 10 minutes into the game.   LLCC held their own and kept pushing to create opportunities to get on the board.   At the 23rd minute mark, LLCC got on the board on a penalty kick by Naba Alzhyri (4th goal in 4 games).  Shortly after Alzhyri created the second goal for LLCC as he slid the ball to Adrian Manzano who netted his team leading 11th goal of the season.  The half ended with LLCC leading 2-1.

SWIC came out determined to take the lead away from the Loggers.  Four minutes in, SWIC evened the score 2-2.  They didn't stop there, as the scored three more goals to win 5-2.

Coach Shawn Dunas stated, " We played well the first half. Unfortunately we just didn't show up in the second half today  we couldn't seem to pull it together...they just seemed to want it more. They didn't give us space to breathe the entire match. Their intensity level never seemed to lessen.  I do believe in these boys."   The young Logger team is working to improve everyday. "I'm confident in our chances of doing well in the region tournament."

The Loggers wrap up their home season this Wednesday against a tough Parkland team in a region match at 4 pm.
