Morgan Hauser, a sophomore from East Moline, finished the tournament with 25 kills and 7 blocks. "Morgan did a great job this weekend. She was thrown into a difficult situation when Kinzie Neilson sprained her knee, so we had to adjust our lineup. Morgan stepped in and played on the left, then turned around and switched to the right side after that. That other coaches saw what that did for us this weekend is a credit to the hard work Morgan puts in," stated Coach Jim Dietz.
Benton High School, Lindsay Hathcoat was the top vote getter for the tournament. Hathcoat finished with 90 digs and was aced on only two of 116 serve-receive attempts on the weekend. "Lindsay did a great job for us. Serve-receive is critical. We're hitting at a team-record rate this year, and it sounds like a cliche, but it's true--it starts with the pass."
