Springfield, IL – Lincoln Land Community College hosted Illinois Central College in a doubleheader played at Sacred Heart Griffin High School in Springfield.  The Loggers lost game one 7-3 as the Cougars of ICC posted 17 hits while the Loggers produced 6 hits.

ICC scored 4 runs in the top of the 7^th inning to seal the deal and the win 9-4 in game two.  ICC posted 13 hits as the Loggers came up short with only 7 hits.  The Cougars are now 17-7 in the MWAC as the Loggers fall to 16-8.

Game 1
Jake Ingold went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI in the loss to ICC.  Ingold also homered in both the 1^st and 3^rd innings.  Jerod Pellman was 2-for-4.  Starting pitcher Kyle Culli went 4.2 innings allowing 7 runs on 13 hits while striking out 7 Cougar hitters.  Blake Welch finished 2.1 innings of work in relief.

Game 2
Things were looking up in game two as leadoff hitter Ryan Aper homered to left field. Aper went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Aper also posted a double and was the only Logger with multiple hits for game two.  Jake Lance hit a tripled in the 4^th inning and scored on a sacrifice fly by Cory Fanning.   Three Logger pitchers tried to shut down the productive bats of ICC.  Brandon Fickert was starting pitcher and relieved by Dan Reiser and Jordan McGinnis.  Fickert went 4 innings allowing 4 runs on 6 hits.
