Logger Softball opened their Florida trip at South Florida State CC. The Loggers came back to win game two 3-0 after losing to the Panthers in game one 7-3.
In game one, the Loggers scored first against the Panthers but a rocky 4
th inning quickly had the Loggers behind 6 -1. Torey Sorensen and Lauren Windisch each collected two hits on the day. Starting pitcher, Claire Dubree (0-2) picked up the loss. Dubree went 3.3 innings giving up 6 runs while walking 7 batters. Morgan Smith finished the game giving up one run on two hits.
Game two was more productive for the Loggers. The Loggers scored three runs but that was all Katie Lange (1-0) needed as she pitched 7 innings on 1 hit and striking out 2. Kayla Jacobs, Katie Price and Jaimey Watrous each had 2 hits as the Loggers out hit the Panthers 11-1.
